As part of this site’s vow to give you the best in store out there, here is another set of those dowstream hits, which I believe, deserve to party on our ears. These are a bunch of first-class remnants from the previous year, partially saving: (1) pop music from fully sinking into the K-hole e.g. Psy-Gangnam Style, (2) rock ridiculously breaking into un-heart-y stones e.g. Pusong Bato, and (3) our ears from those entire nuisances lurking everywhere during the past year e.g. these trashes here and there.     

Beta Love – Ra Ra Riot. From this Syracuse band’s first studio album (of the same title) since the egress of Ali Lawn, ‘Beta Love’ is a dancey mix of synth-pop featuring Wes Miles’ steaming falsettos drowning in electronic tunes. Those catchy riffs and baselines courtesy of Milo Bonacci and Mathieu Santos, respectively, are also extremely standout. Altogether, the single is a digi-friendly product you’ll surely wouldn’t want to miss.

Hari – Frank Magalona. It’s amazing how a single track manages to be this ‘moving’ as a way of paying tribute with its core carefully drawn from personal references in a sturdy manner but with melting humility. To me, this counts to be an unnerving requiem intended to immortally remind everyone on how a legend came to be.

So Many Details – Toro Y Moi. The weird sound feels so good. Those airy vocals, wrinkling funk riffs, and smooth pretences, all sexily combined is a total snooze-bomb.
