This Ben & Ben song
is personally important to me, as this will forever be intertwined with the
rest of my days and will always remind me of the importance of making the right
life choices.
With all the choices
people constantly make, one would be considered lucky to be actually the
someone’s choice. But it’s even more
powerfully amazing to be on the giving end – unconditionally choosing that same
person every day, over and over again, no matter the odds will be. That’s all
the beauty this song is all about.
But realistically,
breaking points does exist, saturation points are eventually reached, and having
the habit of choosing the same person/thing over and over again becomes
unhealthy and downright toxic. Until the only thing left to choose is to left.
Some days
I would wonder and realize how and why some of my choices weren’t the best ones
after all. That I was at fault, making the wrong choices, here and there. And
the worse thing is keeping, staying, and standing by that very same choice, araw-araw, keeping a blind eye and
ignoring the red flags associated with those choices, for convenience,
self-gratification, or whatever it is that goes on the easy side.
So, here’s
to hoping that I, and you, would soon make that right choice, of choosing thyself.
