All for
the concept of change, I always find fascination over what have transpired, what
could have been, and whatever’s left at the moment. Oftentimes, the
world steers by measuring that which can be lost and that which may be
taken away, sort of accounting the privileges we do or do not hold because
basically things are bound to change as most people are destined to leave. It’s
nearly impossible to hold on to anything or anyone as everything may slip
through our very fingers like sand in the wrong season.
Resistance,
on the other hand, is ironically an equally beautiful concept – of defying
entropy and keeping things in place. There is this certain pleasure in
achieving order amidst the chaos – an intervention to go against the fundamental
force of nature. And in this world where change is deemed inevitable, there are
these things (and people) we would always want to keep and cling on to. But then, at some point, it would be beyond our
control to hold on, or go against change, and simply resist.
"Permanente" is beautiful song that exemplifies beauty in knowing that some people are
willing to stand the test of time and stand by that choice they made in
choosing you. Really, lucky are those who find such at least once in
this lifetime.
