Inasmuch
as I wanted no further entry ‘til the month ends, as I have so much other stuff in my head piled up that needs thinking and doing,
this freshly released FTP track requires me to drop one. ‘Coming of Age’ off Supermodel (forthcoming Foster the
People sophomore album; out March 18), by far, is another all-time-fave in the
making. This track on a chunky piano, dancey percussion, and suave guitar
lines, is still ‘Pumped Up Kicks’-y, minus the creepy-kid-on-shooting-spree
lyrics. And I owe this song a lot as it’s one of those very few things that keep
me sane these days. To quote a friend from early this morning while watching
myx, “thank God for the music”.
